BDG, a business powerhouse that took root in the early 1960s under the visionary leadership of Late Bishan Dayal Goyal, with a mission to elevate the nation’s potential, a legacy diligently continued through the generations by our esteemed Chairman, Shri Ramesh Chand Goyal, and Managing Director, Shri Alok Goyal.

As BDG Group flourished, a profound commitment to our community emerged, exemplified by the Lotus Medical Bus initiative.

LOTUS TMT Medical Bus, first of its kind in Eastern India, was launched on 31st July 2022, just a year back. The first camp was organised in the iconic Eden Gardens, in Kolkata, on August 1, 2022. This inaugural camp was dedicated to the hardworking grounds men of the sports ground, demonstrating our commitment to those who serve our communities. Since then, it has covered over 13,000 km, organized 250 camps, and served 41,600 patients in West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh. It is an initiative of BDG Ramesh Goyal Seva Sansthan, sponsored by BDG Metal and Power Ltd. – with the gracious medical support from Anandlok Hospital.

The bus is 12 meters long, equipped with all primary healthcare services like – Eye, Dental & ENT check-up and treatment, General Check-up, Pathological Laboratory, General OPD, ECG and X-ray facilities along with many other services. Medicines and spectacles are also provided in this hospital on wheels.

The occasion was glittered by the presence of various eminent personalities like: Mr Sovondev Chattopadhyay (Minister In Charge, Department of Agriculture & Parliamentary Affairs), Mrs Chandrima Bhattacharya (Minister of State of Finance (I/C), Health and Family Welfare, Land and Land Reforms, Refugee and Rehabilitation, Government of West Bengal), Smt. Vandana Yadav (IAS), (Chairperson, WBIDC) and Mr Javed Ahamed Khan (Minister in Charge, Disaster Management and Civil Defence, Government of West Bengal).

Speaking to the media, Sri. Ramesh Chand Goyal, Chairman of BDG Group said,

“This is an initiative taken by BDG Ramesh Goyal Seva Sansthan which has been my dream project ever since the idea of LOTUS TMT Medical Bus fructified. The first year journey of the bus has truly paved the way for accessible healthcare in rural areas, marking a significant progress toward our goal.”

On this occasion Sri. Alok Goyal, Managing Trustee of BDG Ramesh Goyal Seva Sansthan said,

“The LOTUS TMT Medical Bus has achieved significant milestones during its first year journey and has been a beacon of hope, bringing essential healthcare services to remote corners of the country and to those who need it most. We are actively seeking opportunities to collaborate with the Government of West Bengal and the Health Ministry”

The implementation of Lotus TMT Medical Bus are being done to help rural India get medical access anytime and anywhere. This initiative to launch India’s largest hospital on Wheels, Lotus TMT Medical Bus 32 feet long by BDG Ramesh Goyal Seva Sansthan sponsored by BDG Metal & Power Ltd. with medical support by Anandalok Hospital, Kolkata. It is a key strategy to facilitate access to public health care particularly to people living in remote, difficult and unreached areas. The objective of this strategy is to take healthcare to the doorstep of populations, particularly rural, vulnerable and under-served areas. The bus has served approx. 56,000 patients, conducted 400+ camps and travelled 23,000 KM in last 18 months.

The occasion was glittered by the presence of various eminent personalities like: Sri. Brajesh Pathak , Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister & Cabinet Minister of Medical Education, Medical and Health and Family Welfare in the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Sri. Sumit Bhatt, Director of BDG Group; Sri. Rajeev Kumar Mishra, Convenor- BDG RGSS & many other eminent guests.

This 32 feet Medical Bus has now entered in Uttar Pradesh with all primary healthcare services in it like –

Our services are almost free but a token of Rs.10/- per service is taken as a donation which may also be allowed free for those who cannot afford.

Speaking to the media, Sri. Sumit Bhatt, Director of BDG Group said, “Our main motive behind launching this bus was a humble passion to serve deprived & old aged people, aiming to make healthcare accessible to cover whole rural areas of U.P through technology integration and affordability. This initiative was taken by BDG Ramesh Goyal Seva Sansthan. We are also exploring opportunities for cooperation with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to reach out to those in need.
